Our country offers a unique opportunity to join anti-trafficking efforts while partnering with local communities, NGOs and government agencies. Around 50 percent of this Southeast Asian Country’s population is vulnerable to being trafficked both domestically and internationally. It is also a source and destination country for labor and sex trafficking. As an Unbound intern you would be supporting the work of the local Unbound offices and local partners. Your work would potentially include helping with awareness seminars and prevention trainings, community assessment surveys and outreaches, serving youth and impoverished neighborhoods, and helping activate the local church on God’s heart for justice. We expect all interns to have volunteered with Unbound Offices, other anti-trafficking efforts or bring relevant experience to this internship. Dates are tentatively scheduled for May-August but that may change due to the team’s capacity. If you do not have experience in the anti-trafficking world but are interested in applying, we ask that you volunteer with an Unbound Office and if you do not live near an Unbound Office, we can work with you on a case-by-case basis of getting involved before summer launch.
